The Chill Out Beds consist of two pieces. The first, on the left, is the insert that contains the polymer crystals that retain the water and provide the cooling effect. This portion is soaked in water for approx. 30 minutes and will swell to form the cushion part of the bed. It is then placed inside the decorative cover, on the right, and sealed with the velcro strips. The backing of the cover is rubberized to avoid excessive dampness on the floor as well as to avoid slipping. The cooling effect will last many days and is easily regenerated simply by re-soaking in water again. The decorative covers are available in a wide variety of patterns.
